Website delivery

We use a hosting and network service provider based in the United States to deliver and secure this website. When you visit, it processes technically required connection data, including your IP address, access time, requested resource and referrer, along with browser and system information. This serves our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Without this data, the website cannot be delivered.

The service provider processes data on our behalf. For some network data, such as data used to secure its network, it acts as a controller itself. Data may be processed in the United States and other third countries. Where applicable, transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses under Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914. To ask about the safeguards that apply, or to request a copy, email alex@workyouown.de.

Contact by email

If you email us, we process your sender address, the message content and time, and the technically required metadata so we can handle your request and any follow-up. The legal basis depends on the request. For pre-contractual or contractual communication it is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for other enquiries it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Providing your data is voluntary. Without it, we can't answer your request.

An email hosting service provider transmits and stores email for us as a processor. It processes the message and connection data needed for that.

No tracking or embedded third-party content

This version of the website uses no analytics or marketing trackers. It doesn't embed social media trackers or set its own tracking cookies. Fonts, videos and scripts are hosted with the website itself. External websites are contacted only when you follow a link.

Recipients and retention

We and the service providers described above have access where needed to operate and secure the website or to handle email communication.

How long we keep an enquiry depends on its subject, because the data is needed to handle the request and any related follow-up questions. Messages subject to statutory retention duties, or needed to establish or defend legal claims, are retained for those purposes. When these reasons no longer apply, the data must be deleted.

Technical connection data is processed to deliver the website and to prevent or investigate security incidents. How long it's kept depends on these purposes and on the service provider’s applicable retention rules.

Security and automated decisions

Transmission is encrypted using HTTPS. We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). Please contact alex@workyouown.de.

Right to object

You may object at any time to the processing of your data where we base it on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This requires grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate legitimate grounds sufficiently strong to override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (Article 21 GDPR). Write to us at alex@workyouown.de.

Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The competent supervisory authority is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, PO Box 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden, Germany. Office: Wilhelmstraße 7, 65185 Wiesbaden, Germany. Website: datenschutz.hessen.de.
